The story, in five chapters

I’m Deekshitha Sreerala. I started in marketing, where I learned to listen. Product management taught me to turn what I heard into something that ships. This year I learned to build the thing myself. Now I can take an idea from the first conversation to launch day, with AI in the loop.

  1. Sonipat · 2020 to 2023

    It started with people

Design Thinking, Product and Brand Management, and Introduction to Marketing were the courses that shaped me at O.P. Jindal Global University, with Strategic Management, New Venture Planning and Managing Creativity and Innovation close behind. Together they gave me a structure I still use: understand the problem in its full width and depth, map the workflows and systems around it, then ask whether it is worth solving at all. The clubs gave me the practice. Vice-President of the HR Club, core team at RHAMS, our marketing initiative, and film for Aperture, the photography society. In the final year I was also an academic assistant. I graduated with a 7.91 CGPA, an Outstanding grade in nearly every course, two semesters at a perfect 8 of 8, and a habit of watching how people actually behave.

  2. Delhi, Mauritius, Singapore, Bengaluru · 2020 to 2022

    Marketing taught me to listen

Six internships over my semester breaks, about a year of work in all, every one of them on the market side. Campus ambassador for Younity.in and social media marketing for Bookmypg in first year. Digital marketing for Panda & Wolf Holding in Mauritius. Research for PM.Haze, a citizens’ movement against haze pollution in Singapore. Marketing for Woolworths in Mauritius, then digital marketing and search for Plum in Bengaluru. Three countries, six very different businesses, and the same lesson every time: nobody cares about a feature until you understand their day. It is still the first question I ask about any product.

  3. Indian School of Business · 2023

The summer product management got its name

Straight after graduation I took the Product Management programme at ISB Executive Education: competition analysis, roadmaps, prototyping, A/B testing, and a food-delivery capstone on process excellence. I graduated top of the cohort with a perfect score. The score mattered less than what came with it, a name for the work I wanted to do. Sit between the customer, the business and the engineers, understand why a product should exist at all, and make the calls that turn a problem into something people use.

  4. Hyderabad · 2025 to 2026

    Real products, real users

Then came a year and a half of full-time product work. I joined Algoleap’s Digital Studios as a management trainee and learned by shipping: MVPs across banking, insurance, energy, HR tech and enterprise software, wearing whichever hat the week needed, from business analysis and service design to rapid prototyping. I also took over a cross-domain Community of Practice and grew it. At Sutherland I worked in Healthcare Digital Engineering on a medical coding platform moving from fully manual work to autonomous coding. My part was the front of the problem: understanding every persona’s day, breaking the workflow down, cutting the screens to the ones that mattered, and writing the requirements and journey maps engineering could build from. I sat with the developers to learn what the backend could and could not ship, benchmarked the LLM output we relied on, and stayed until the product was tested and ready to go live. None of it was mine alone. The best part of that year was the team that carried it together.

  5. Outskill · 10 to 23 August 2026

    Then I learned to build

In August 2026 I did Outskill’s AI Generalist Accelerator, fourteen days of prompt engineering, workflow automation with n8n, no-code product development, voice agents, MCP integration and multimodal AI. The tools were the syllabus. The lesson was judgment: which one to reach for, for which job, and when to ignore the shiny one. Alongside the workshops ran a 48-hour hackathon. The brief was a collaborative note-taking app. I shipped GroveStudio and went a step further: shared spaces where teammates write live and watch each other’s words land, a board that assigns every next step with a deadline and a reason, and a studio that turns the notes into summaries, overviews and follow-ups. Since then I write code every day with Claude Code and Cursor beside me. People call it vibe coding. I call it the fastest product education I have had. By then I had also finished Agile Meets Design Thinking at UVA Darden and a Generative AI Mastery workshop at BITS Pilani Hyderabad, and since late August I have been advising an AI-native startup and rural nonprofits pro bono. I am not done learning. I doubt I ever will be.

Where I sit

Three overlapping circles: product management, product marketing and building with AI. The work sits where all three meet.ProductmanagementProductmarketingBuildingwith AIpositioningand launchPRD toprototypepages, copy, funnelsAI productgeneralist

Systems thinking keeps the parts honest with each other. Design thinking keeps them honest with the user. Between the two, product management and product marketing stop being separate jobs.

01How I find what to build

Pain to Gain

Every product starts on a board, not in an editor. Conversations become pain points, pain points get ranked, the biggest gap becomes the opportunity. Then I build. Shown here: the research behind cuspai.io.

Research board · “who's keeping up with AI tools?”

Pain points · what people told me

  • “Codex, Claude Code, Cursor… which one is for me? I can barely use ChatGPT.”
  • “New tool every day. I gave up keeping track.”
  • “I have an idea and no tech background. Where do I even start?”
  • “I can pay for one tool, not five.”

Ranked by how often it came up

  • 01Which tool for what100
  • 02Idea → stack paralysis78
  • 03Can't keep up64
  • 04Budget, free vs paid47

Gain points · what they'd pay attention to

  • → 01Pick interests once → 3 daily reads, newsletters, podcasts. Done.
  • → 02Describe the idea → get a research → design → build → deploy stack.
  • → 03Free on the left, paid on the right. Mix what you can afford.

Opportunity

One place that keeps you on the cusp of AI and turns “I have an idea” into a stack you can afford. That became cuspai.io.

Zero to live in 48 hours.

The brief

A collaborative note-taking app, in 48 hours. Notes are where most teams’ decisions go to die, so I treated the brief as the floor, not the ceiling.

What I built

Shared spaces where teammates write live and watch each other’s words land, private spaces that stay private, a board that assigns every next step with a deadline and a reason and notifies the owner, and a studio that turns the notes into summaries, audio and video overviews, mind maps and gentle check-ins until the task is done. Nothing to install; join with a six-character code. Frontend, backend and live integrations, shipped end to end.

The problem

Keeping up with AI tools is a job in itself, and turning an idea into a stack is where most people stall.

What I built

Pick interests once and get three daily reads, newsletters and podcasts. Describe an idea and the Build tab lays out a research, design, build and deploy stack, free tools on one side, paid on the other.

SafeRide Priority × Uber

Safety first, inside the app people already use.

The problem

Some riders need safety before speed, and a mature product has little room for a new mode.

What I built

A safety-first priority ride mode designed inside Uber’s constraints: the user, the flow and the trade-offs, framed the way a product team would have to frame them.

Buddy

A journal that never leaves your phone.

The problem

Journaling apps ask for your most private thoughts and then send them to a server.

What I built

Local-first journaling with inference on the device, so entries never leave the phone. AI as a thinking partner that surfaces patterns, never another chore.

The problem
